Symmetrical Page Design

The girls at the AussieScrapSource Blog are running a series on Page Design at the moment.  This week Balance was the principle discussed, and the difference between Symmetrical and Asymmetrical creations.  I decided to have a go at their challenge and create a layout using one of the sketches provided.

This is the sketch I chose to portray in a Symmetrical style, even though I have completely altered it and made it my own:
