Prima Challenges - June

Prima have a couple of great challenges each month and I have created the layouts below using them.  The biggest challenge for me is that I use all of the Prima products that I buy straight away, so don't have a big stash of it to use - unless I buy some more at Scrapbook Fantasies (where a lot of new Prima has just arrived in the last week).

This first one is using the Prima Build-a-Page sketch for June, about my Grandmother Polly:

This second layout is using the Prima Product Pick for June (which is a colour challenge), about my daughter an her family and how much they mean to me:

The Color Room Palette #114

I really enjoy the challenges from the Color Room, as they are a sketch and a set of colours to push your creative boundaries.  This is the layout I created with Palette #114 using photographs of my youngest grandson playing dress-ups as a scary monster.  He has even gone to the lengths of having paddle-pop sticks sticky-taped to his fingers as claws.

CSI File #24

I had a great time creating this layout about my granddaughter Naomi-Jon for CSI File #24.  I was a bit stumped when I first saw the colours to be used, but am very happy with how it all came together.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch #3 June

I created this layout using the Kaiser Saturday Sketch #3 for June.

Scrapbook Fantasies Weekly Challenges

I just thought I would catch up on putting some of the recent Scrapbook Fantasies Weekly Challenges on here.  You can find all of the challenges and how to win prizes for completing them here.

CSI File #23

This is the layout I created with CSI File #23, which I thought was going to be really hard until I got going and it all came together nicely.
Evidence - flowers, bee, crown, translucent vellum, rubon (crown/swirls)
Testimony - didn't quite go to the requirements, however I wrote about my granddaughter being Queen of all she surveys as a border around the page

Kaiser Saturday Sketch #2 June

I have created this layout using the Kaiser Saturday Sketch #2 for June.  Everything is Kaiser except for the pen, ink, tassel ribbon and adhesives.

Once Upon A Sketch - June

I created this layout using the sketch and theme for June at Once Upon A Sketch, about my 70th Birthday which I celebrated at the Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat in 2010.

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been leaving me lovely and encouraging comments, I really appreciate it.

I also want to thank everyone at Sketchbook365 for choosing my layout as the May winner, I am really surprised and grateful.

Scrapbook Fantasies - Weekly Challenge #25/2012

It's Monday and that means that a new Weekly Challenge has been revealed at the Scrapbook Fantasies Blog.  These challenges are a great way to get some extra pages completed in your albums, try something you might not normally try and a chance to win a voucher from Scrapbook Fantasies.  This is my take on this weeks challenge:

A Page About Me

This is a page I created about myself just for the fun of it.  I dyed most of the pink and all of the silver flowers with Glimmermist.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch #1 June

The new Kaiser Saturday Sketch #1 for June went up on Saturday and this is what I created with it on Sunday afternoon, once I had turned it on its side.  I have done a bit of masked misting in the background and used more of my photographs from my trip to Byron Bay.

Kraft It Up June Challenge

I really had a good time creating this page for the June Kraft It Up Challenge.  My fingers were extremely green for a while as I used the new Sei Tumble Dye that is available at Scrapbook Fantasies.  I do think that Noah had just as much fun making mud and digging up the lawn as can be seen in the photographs I used.

Bo Bunny June Sketch

I actually flipped the sketch from Bo Bunny upside down, so that my title was at the top.  The photographs are of my youngest grandson, Noah playing trains with his budgie Blu-belle.  They do love each other very much, and Blu-belle will happily sit with him and play or talk.

The Color Room - Palette #113

I have used the latest palette from the Color Room to create this layout about my trip to Byron Bay with a friend several years ago.  We had a wonderfully relaxing time and took lots of photos.  I really enjoy the Color Room challenges as they aren't always colours that I would use or put together.  I have to also say a big thank you to everyone at the Color Room for the challenges and for my layout from last week being a Featured Project.

More Creations with the New Kaiser

I am really enjoying creating with the New Kaiser Lake House collection, it is just my thing.  And my Granddaughter, Naomi-Jon is the perfect subject.

I would also like to say thank you to everyone for your lovely comments and support.  I have had a bit of a bad week, and you have all helped me to get through it and I cherish your support.

My Beautiful Granddaughter

I created this layout about my beautiful Granddaughter, Naomi-Jon just for the fun of it.  I actually purchased the handmade silk pansies well and truly before she was born in 2000.  I am very pleased with how my page turned out.

Alicia's Layout Sketch Challenge - June 2012

My daughter, Alicia, hosts a Layout Sketch Challenge each month on her blog.  I have created a layout about her youngest son using some of my favourite Kaiser papers with it this month.
