Prima BAP - January 2014

This is the layout I created using the Build-a-Page Sketch at the Prima Blog this month.  Of course it is created with lots of Prima and is of one of my beloved Grandchildren.  However, this time I have gone for a simpler design than usual.

This is the BAP Sketch I used:

Shimmerz Challenge - January 2014

This is my using this months Challenge at the Shimmerz Blog.  I have created my layout about my one and only daughter, Alicia, and her journey forward with her business.  Alicia owns and manages Scrapbook Fantasies, all whilst raising three children and being an active member of our community.

This is the inspiration for this fabulous challenge:

Scrapbook Fantasies - Weekly Scrapbook Challenge #4/2014

The challenge this week at the Scrapbook Fantasies Blog is to create a layout using a textured background.  I have used mist, paste and a mask to create the textured background on my layout for the challenge.

White With 1 - January 2014

This is the layout that I have created with the challenge this month at White With 1.  I didn't think I was a fan of orange, however I enjoyed using it and upon further investigation I actually use it quite a bit.  The layout is of my only granddaughter - Naomi-Jon and how beautiful she is on the inside and the outside.

This is the challenge inspiration:

123 Challenge - January 2014

The above layout is my interpretation of the January Challenge at the 123 Challenge Blog.  I enjoyed creating this layout about my oldest Grandson and his faith journey.

My journaling reads:
"A very important day for Milton - his Mother, Father and Sister were Confirmed.  The family that prays together - stays together."

And this is the challenge inspiration:

Prima Product Pick - January 2014

This is my layout using the January Prima Product Pick as inspiration.  I have used a photograph of two of my grandchildren, Noah and Naomi-Jon.  I am very lucky to see these two lovely souls every day.

OUAS January 2014

I am back again this afternoon to share with you my layout made with the theme and sketch for this month at Once Upon A Sketch (OUAS).  I channeled my inner Jo (The Madcook) and used lots of green on my layout.

My journaling reads:
"Another One Bites the Dust
I have learnt-
Small plants need a lot of tender loving care and regular Watering."

And this is the OUAS Sketch for this month:

Catching-up on some projects I forgot to share

It's bad when you forget to share projects you have created, but I'm not that forgetful considering I am over 73 and pretty active.  So here a quite a few projects that just didn't make it to my blog last year (or maybe some did and in that case here they are again).

Scrapbook Fantasies - Weekly Scrapbook Challenge #2/2014

This weeks challenge at the Scrapbook Fantasies Blog is to create a layout using only Green and White.  The lovely Jo came up with this challenge, of course considering Green is her favourite colour.

This is my layout (and a couple of close-ups) about two of my Grandchildren who love to go fishing with their fathers together:

Why not stop by the Scrapbook Fantasies Blog and have a go at the challenge yourself.

Magic Happens

I wanted to share this layout I created using one of Jess' photographs from her trip to Europe last year.  She is doing the Harry Potter thing going through the wall to Platform 9 3/4.

Scrapbook Fantasies - Weekly Scrapbook Challenge #1/2014

Today I am sharing with you all my interpretation of the first Weekly Challenge for 2014 at the Scrapbook Fantasies Blog.  I just found out that this will be the 8th year of these challenges, and yes I have participated in nearly all of the previous 364 challenges - that is a lot.

This is my layout that has a number in the title:

My layout is about my wonderful son in-law - who is actually more like my guardian angel.  The journaling reads:
"I could search the world and space and never find a friend so helpful as you.  Every person should have a Quentin in their lives - thank you for coming into mine.  I have to be your number 1 fan."

Metal & Flowers Scrapbooking

I created this layout for a recent challenge at the Aussie Scrap Source Blog, using Metal and Flowers.  I have used lots of Prima - of course.  My layout was featured on the Aussie Scrap Source Blog, and my dear friend Candy was the winner of the challenge too.  (Her layout is at the top of the post)

Prima BAP - February 2013

My daughter was cleaning out her computer files and found this page image that hadn't appeared on my blog yet, I don't understand what she was talking about so here it is.  This was my take on the February Prima Build-a-Page Sketch, which was featured on the Prima Blog.

The Color Room #165

I wanted to share a layout I created using the Color Palette #165 from the Color Room.  I did this layout because I loved the colour scheme and I had the perfect photograph.  My photograph is of Pudding/Maddy the cat who has adopted my daughter and her family.  I recently had the pleasure of looking after Maddy whilst the family were away and she is an absolute pleasure to spend time with.  I will also admit that I spoilt her with special food, and lots of attention - she knows just how to get what she wants from you with her love and affection.
