CSI (Color, Stories, Inspiration)

I have created these layouts using two of the recent cases at CSI (Color, Stories, Inspiration).  The case files are a real challenge involving a set of colours, a set of elements to use and journaling prompts.  Obviously you have choices with everything except the colours, but sometimes it is hard to add enough and other times it is hard to stop adding.

I also wanted to thank everyone at CSI for their lovely comments and for putting me on the Watch List again recently.

The Color Room

I created these layouts using two of the recent Color Room palettes.  I really enjoy creating with the palettes and sketches, even if they are sometimes a long way from my comfort zone.

Weekly Challenge #31/2012

This weeks challenge at the Scrapbook Fantasies Blog is to use the title "Time is a Gift".  I did change the title a little in the storm that is my creativity.

Prima Product Pick - July

I created this layout using the Prima Product Pick for July.  The layout is about my daughter turning 21 back in 1994.

Once Upon A Sketch

This month the theme at Once Upon a Sketch is Friends/Friendship, and the sketch is just lovely as always.  Nadia creates the most gorgeous sketches, that are a pleasure to create with.  So this is the layout I created using the sketch and the theme about my dear scrapping friend Sue.

Prima Build-a-Page - July

I created this layout using the Prima Build-a-Page Sketch for July.  You all know how much I love Prima.  Well I love it so much that I don't have a lot of it left in my stash, and that is saying something because my stash is huge.  I used one of my favourite subjects for this layout, my granddaughter!

Australia

My daughter, Alicia was linked to by Anne at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge earlier this month, which she hasn't actually let anyone know about yet.  As some of you know my daughter and her business are going through a tough time over the premises she rents and a huge increase in the rent.  Anyway to cut a long story short Alicia told me about the linky thing and that Anne also hosts a monthly challenge....and you know how much I love a challenge.  So here is a layout I created for the challenge about my Country over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge.

If you would like to see the layout that Alicia was featured for it is here, which also happens to be the layout she won last month with at Once Upon a Sketch.

Bo Bunny White Space Challenge

This months challenge over at the Bo Bunny Blog is to create a layout using White Space.  I have to say that this isn't something I would normally do with my layouts, but I gave it a go.

Kraft It Up

I really enjoy the Kraft It Up challenges, mostly because I love Kraft cardstock and printed papers.  This one is surprising about myself and where the time has gone.  The journaling ends with the note that I still after all these years have my Open Motorbike License.

White with 1

You all know how much I love a challenge, and my daughter sure pulled out all the stops when she found this one for me at White with 1.  I may have gone a bit overboard with the red to white balance on the layout, and I had to borrow the tape too.  In the end I am really happy with how this turned out.

CSI File #26

This is the layout I have created using CSI File #26, which was a real challenge again.  I like how the CSI challenges push me to use colours and products together that I wouldn't normally.

CSI File #25

I created a second layout using CSI File #25 from last week.  This time I scraplifted the work of Annette Gearside, as that was an additional part of the challenge.

Color Room Palette #117

This is the layout I have created with this weeks Color Room palette.  I used a photograph from my Wedding day of my father and I together just before heading off to the church.  I also wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who leaves me lovely and encouraging comments here on my blog.

A huge Thank you

As some of you know our lives have been a bit up in the air lately with the rental increase and resulting uncertainty at my daughters store - Scrapbook Fantasies.  I will admit that it has put me in a bit of a down mood indeed, until I got the news this morning from Alicia that I have a page featured at the Prima Blog (here) and I am On the Watch List at CSI (here).  I am so thankful to everyone involved in selecting my layouts and very happy considering how down I have been about the future of Scrapbooking in Gladstone.

Aussie Scrap Source Design Challenge

This is my layout created with the Design Challenge at the Aussie Scrap Source Blog last week.  Once again they featured my layout last week, and I am very thankful for them doing this.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch #4 June

This is my layout created with the Kaiser Saturday Sketch #4 for June.  I enjoyed dragging out these older papers and journaling about my faith.

New Miss Match Collection from Kaiser

The new Miss Match Collection from Kaiser has arrived at Scrapbook Fantasies and Alicia asked me to create some layouts with it for display in the store.  I really didn't know what to do at first as it really is a Miss Match of patterns, but once I got going I had a ball.
