C'est Magnifique

Candy challenged me to create a layout using the August Sketch from C'est Magnifique.  I used photographs from my Aunt and Uncles 40th Wedding Anniversary.  I have also turned the sketch on it's side too.

Card Class Kit

I created this layout using the demonstration kit from Candy's Cardmaking Class at Scrapbook Fantasies last Monday.  It took me a week to get started, and not very long to finish once I had an idea and a photograph.

The Color Room # 125

This weeks Color Room palette was perfect for photographs of my youngest grandson, Noah licking melted chocolate from his fingers. I have been quite restrained and not used any mist or ink on this layout, which is a first for me and my style.

CSI File # 34

Firstly I just want to congratulate my daughter (Alicia) and her husband (Quentin) on securing a new location for her business, Scrapbook Fantasies.  They have worked very hard to get to this point, and I know that they have a lot of hoops to jump through in the next month before they can even start cleaning, painting and moving.  I have been praying to the Lord for his help and assistance in giving them strength, direction and a happy outcome.  I know that my late husband would be just as proud as I am right now, if not more so of their achievements and strength.

So onto my layout that I am sharing today using this weeks file over at CSI.  This photograph was taken at the Girls Night In at Scrapbook Fantasies in 2010. The file this week is perfect for a layout about creativity and especially this photograph.

The evidence that I used is trees (bamboo), wet medium (Viva Decor Clear Croco), stripes (created with the ribbon), ribbon and create a wave shape (the torn edge)
The testimony that I used is to document what I do to relax.

The masking in the background is with Viva Decor Transparent Croco Crackling Paint (which I thought was white when I bought it - obviously my German isn't very good), and it is green because my mask was a little dirty.  I really love how it turned out, a happy accident.

Scrapbook Fantasies - Weekly Challenge #35/2012

I created this layout using this weeks challenge at the Scrapbook Fantasies Blog.  The challenge was to create with Buttons, and I think I definately did by including a total of 22 buttons in several different types.  Can you find the button that I forgot to stitch down?

Kraft It Up

The challenge this month over at Kraft It Up is to use a Page Maps sketch they have selected.  I created this layout about my oldest Grandson, Milton.  It is very simple for me, as my style is normally a lot more grungy and embellished.  I have to also say thank you to the Kraft It Up team for selecting my layout as a winner last month, I am very shocked and appreciative.

I also wanted to say thank you to everyone for their lovely and generous comments, even if I don't always get a chance to reply.

The Color Room Palette #123

Somehow this layout didn't make it here until now, better late than never.  I have used the Color Room Palette #123.

CSI File #32

Once again I have to thank everyone for their lovely comments on my layouts, even if I don't always get a chance to thank you personally.

This weeks CSI file (#32) is one of my favourites, as the colours are perfect for scrapping about my youngest grandson.

The Evidence I used: stars, wet medium, burlap
The Testimony I used: document a beach trip

CSI File #33

I created this layout using CSI File #33, which included a colour scheme, a set of embellishments to choose from and a few journaling styles to choose from.  These files are a real challenge, which I really enjoy.

Prima Product Pick - August

You all know how much I love Prima, and especially their challenges.  I enjoyed this fresh palette of colours and tried to keep the layout design just as fresh.  So this is what I created with the August Product Pick from Prima.

The Color Room Palette #124

I created this layout for the Color Room Palette #124, which included a colour scheme and a sketch to be followed.  I would recommend trying the palettes, even if you didn't share them, as the colour schemes are always lovely and the sketches beautiful.

Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge

The first challenge for August at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge was to create a layout about a pet, which I have never had of my own.  My daughter owned the most beautiful Siamese Cat when she was a teenager living at home, however I couldn't track down any photographs of Bee-Bee.  So I went with the option of creating a layout about the Zoo, Australia Zoo.

Weekly Challenge #32/2012

I created this layout using the Sketch for Scrapbook Fantasies Weekly Challenge #32/2012, which was designed by my daughter (Alicia).  I don't always enjoy creating with sketches, because I find it hard to work within the restraints they provide and I just don't know what else I should add extra as I like to try and keep as close to the sketch as possible.

Sketchbook 365

Even though the Sketchbook 365 sketches are a bit busier than my usual style (only a tiny bit), I really love creating with them.  This sketch was no exception and the subject is one of my favourites...Naomi-Jon.

Prima Build-a-Page

I created this page using the Prima Build-a-Page for August.  I love using Prima as you all know, but I am a bit light on in my stash because I love to use it as soon as I get it.

CSI File #31

I created this layout using the CSI File #31, and the evidence and testimony below.  I really enjoy the challenge of these files, as they put my creativity to the test.

Evidence:
- wood/woodgrain - fences
- liquid medium - paint, ink
- distressing - of course
- repetition - fences and flowers
- solid background - it was before I got to it
- parallel lines - fence palings

Testimony:
- Begin journaling with "The key to...is"

Graphic 45 Challenge

I didn't know Graphic 45 ran challenges until the other day.  The only problem is that to enter the page must be put onto their Facebook page, and I don't have or want Facebook.  So I decided to do the challenge anyway.

White with 1 Layout

This is only the second time I have created with the challenges over at White with 1, and I am enjoying the challenge that is using mostly white on my pages.  I don't know if I am doing it exactly how it is meant to be done, however there is more white on my page this month than there was last month.

Just a Couple of Pages

I created these layouts at the Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat last weekend.  They weren't for any particular challenge, just for the fun of creating.

Alicia's Layout Sketch Challenge

I created this layout using my daughter's (Alicia) August Layout Sketch Challenge.  The prizes are sponsored by Scrapbook Fantasies, so have a go and you never know you could be a winner.

Once Upon A Sketch

I created this layout using the August Sketch and Theme from Once Upon A Sketch.  Nadia does a wonderful job with the sketches, themes, design team and blog, and my daughters shop (Scrapbook Fantasies) is one of the regular sponsors.  This months theme is seasons and the season I chose was Spring, obviously my favourite being a keen gardener.

The Color Room Palette #122

I created this layout with this weeks palette from the Color Room.  Ironically my daughter (Alicia) used the same paper range for her layout, and we didn't know until we had finished our layouts.  I love the challenges from the Color Room with both a colour scheme and a sketch.

Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat

The Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat last weekend was the best by far, and there have been ten of them.  The layouts below are from some of the challenges from the weekend.

The Green Tara Sponsored Challenge

The Scrapbook Creations Magazine Challenge - I challenged the girls at my table to this one and mine is from page 37 of the magazine we all received

The Darkroom Door & Manor House Challenge

The Down Under Direct Challenge
