The challenge this month at the Shimmerz Blog is to use bright colours, and that is what I did. I had a great time using layers of bright Shimmerz Mists to create depth and movement. The photograph was taken at the recent Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat, and it includes all of the staff - working and honorary.

Prima Build-A-Page - September 2013
I created this layout using the September Prima Build-A-Page Sketch, and loads of fabulous Prima products of course. The photograph is of my oldest Grandson and his Mentor, Father Daniel Paulraj. Daniel has had a wonderfully profound influence on my entire family in the few short years we have known him. Daniel is one of those people who you never forget and can't remember what life was like without them.

Try Something New with Limor Webber
Alicia found this fabulous challenge on Limor Webber's Blog, and she knew it was just my cup of tea. Limor's challenge was to "Try Something New" on a Mixed Media Layout using a sketch by either Scrap Around the World or Once Upon A Sketch - and I chose Once Upon A Sketch. I tried using molding paste on chipboard and enjoyed the results.
And this is the sketch:
Don't forget that Limor Webber will be teaching at Scrapbook Fantasies in November and you can get all the details here!

Kraft It Up - September 2013
I created this layout using the Kraft It Up September challenge, which is a sketch. I really enjoyed being able to use many small photographs of my grandchildren on this fun layout.

Prima Product Pick - September 2013
I created this layout using the September Prima Product Pick. My layout is about my daughter and her daughter and how much I appreciate having them both in my life.
And this is the Prima Product Pick inspiration:

Scrap Around the World - September 2013
This is the first time I have completed a challenge at Scrap Around the World, and I really hope that I have all the inclusions and links correct. I have used black & white with the addition of red for emphasis, face close-ups and spiders webs to indicate some of the images in the mood board. I have also followed the sketch too.

White with 1 - September 2013
I created this layout with the September Challenge over at White with 1, which is to use White with Pistachio. My layout is of my only granddaughter Naomi-Jon on the day she was a Server at Church for the first time (last month). I have a hidden journaling tag behind the photograph, and the top white flower on the right hand side of the photograph is the tag puller.

Kaiser Tea Party
I have been doing a bit of creating using the Kaiser Tea Party range for Scrapbook Fantasies.
This first layout is of our precious Katrina on her First Birthday, one of many milestones that the Doctors didn't believe would ever happen. Katrina is still defying the odds every day, and never ceases to amaze us all.
This second layout is a little different because I was so caught up in the creative moment that I used a piece of Take Note paper as the background. I love how this happy accident turned out because the eclectic feel suits my beautiful Granddaughters (Naomi-Jon) personality.

Kaiser Curiosity
I created these layouts for Scrapbook Fantasies using the Kaiser Curiosity range.
This first layout is from Katrina's Pre-Prom photoshoot, when we all had portraits taken with our special girl. Naomi-Jon was over-the-moon about being included in this special occasion.
This second layout is of Mikayla, our girl Saturday at Scrapbook Fantasies.

Kaiser Take Note
I have been doing a bit of creating with the new Kaiser Take Note range, that is selling very fast in at Scrapbook Fantasies. I enjoyed both the colours and the style of this versatile range.
My daughter, Alicia coloured the patterned paper I used to cut-out the leaves and swirls using Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Vintage Photo), a foam applicator and a sheet of specialty paper from the Take Note Paper Pad.

This second photograph features a very rare photograph of my Brother (Neville), although it is quite clear that he is telling the photographer off for taking his photograph at a moment when he can't cover his face - as is his usual response to a camera pointing in his direction.

Sketchbook365 Sketch - September 2013
I created this layout about Gladstone Harbour and what it means to me using the September Sketch from Sketchbook365. I started my layout with a few swipes of Golden Light Molding Paste, followed by some blue mist. I found the stickers in my stash, and it is anyones guess how many years they have been lurking in there.
